Folks Need Heroes...: Completed the Campaign on Heroic difficulty (50 Gamerscore). Follow the walkthrough for each mission. If you complete the game on a difficulty higher than heroic, you will also get this achievement. If you are having a lot of trouble for one of the missions, you can ask a friend of higher skill to play co-op with you.
Gods Must Be Strong: Completed the Campaign on Legendary difficulty (125 Gamerscore). Follow the walkthrough for each mission. If you are having a lot of trouble for one of the missions, you can ask a friend of higher skill to play co-op with you.
A Monument To All Your Sins: Completed every mission in Halo: Reach alone, on Legendary (150 Gamerscore). Follow the walkthrough for each mission.
We're Just Getting Started: Completed the 2nd mission on Normal or harder (10 Gamerscore). Follow the walkthrough for “Winter Contingency”.

Send Me Out...With A Bang: Completed 10th mission on Normal or harder (10 Gamerscore). Follow the walkthrough for “The Pillar of Autumn”.
They've Always Been Faster: Cleared the 2nd mission without setting foot in a drivable vehicle (25 Gamerscore). Simply never enter a truck during the second rally point of “Winter Contingency”. This will greatly increase transportation time but will create no extra challenge because the trucks only provide you with quick transportation.
Two Corpses In One Grave: Killed 2 vehicles at once with the Target Locator in the 3rd mission (25 Gamerscore). The opportunity for this achievement appears at the beginning of the second rally point of “ONI: Sword Base”. First clear out all of the enemy infantry, then wait for the wraiths to drive near each other. Once they are nearly touching, call in an artillery strike between them.
Banshees, Fast And Low: Hijacked a Banshee during the Reach Campaign (25 Gamerscore). This is easiest to do on the third rally point of “Tip of the Spear” when you are assaulting the Spire. Stun the banshee with a plasma pistol while jet packing, then stun it again as you reach the crash site. Jack it on the ground from the rear.
Your Heresy Will Stay Your Feet: Killed the Elite Zealot before he escaped during the 5th mission (25 Gamerscore). When you reach the section of the mining facility with the Zealot on “Tip of the Spear”, quickly eliminate the other enemies, then kill the Elite Zealot. There is plenty of time to kill the Zealot if you efficiently kill the other enemies with headshots. If the Zealot escapes, revert to last save from the start menu to try again.
If They Came To Hear Me Beg: Performed an assassination against an Elite to survive a fall that would've been fatal (25 Gamerscore). At the beginning of the mission “Pillar of Autumn”, walk to the edge of the cliff overlooking the enemies below. Below you and to your right, there is an Elite ultra. Wait until he is directly below you, then jump off the cliff and press the left bumper just before you hit the ground. This will may require multiple tries to accomplish successfully.
Wake Up Buttercup: Destroyed the Corvette's engines & escort in under 3 minutes in the 6th mission on Heroic or harder (25 Gamerscore). Play the second rally point of “Long Night of Solstice” On Heroic with four other friends. As soon as you enter the fight with the corvette, one player should immediately begin destroying the corvette’s engines while the other players destroy as many seraphs and banshees as they can. Once the first player destroys the engines, he or she should assist the others in destroying the remaining fighter escorts.
Tank Beats Everything: Finished the 9th mission on Legendary with the Scorpion intact (25 Gamerscore). Follow the walkthrough for the first rally point of “The Package”. Play carefully and know the locations of all enemies ahead every time you turn a corner.
Lucky Me: Earned a Triple Kill while Jetpacking in Campaign, Firefight or Matchmaking (25 Gamerscore). This achievement is easiest to unlock with augmented custom firefight settings. See the firefight, achievements section of this website for details.
KEEP IT CLEAN: Killed 7 Moa during the 2nd mission of the Campaign (5 Gamerscore). Moa are fowl native to Reach, similar in size and appearance to an ostrich. A single shot from any weapon will kill a Moa, so I suggest using a semiautomatic shot from your plasma pistol to conserve ammo. There are plenty of packs of Moa located throughout “Winter Contingency”, making this a relatively easy achievement to get.
I Didn't Train To Be A Pilot: Killed 3 of the anti-aircraft batteries during the 8th mission (10 Gamerscore). In this case, anti-aircraft batteries does not refer to Tyrant anti-aircraft batteries but instead long ranged shade turrets. In between objectives in “New Alexandria”, fly around the city and search for long ranged shade turrets perched on top of buildings. Kill them with the burst fire machinegun of your falcon.
Doctor, Doctor: Used a Health Pack to replenish life after taking body damage (5 Gamerscore). This is an incredibly easy achievement. Simply use a health kit at any time when you are hurt throughout the campaign to unlock it.
That's A Knife: Performed an Assassination on an enemy (10 Gamerscore). The easiest place to unlock this achievement is at the beginning of the mission “Nightfall”. The very first Elite you see in this mission has his back to you and has been programed to be incredibly unobservant, making him a very easy target to assassinate. Walk directly behind him and press the left bumper to assassinate him.
I See You Favor A .45: Killed 10 enemies in a Firefight or Campaign session with the M6G pistol (10 Gamerscore). This is an incredibly easy achievement to unlock. Simply use the magnum in the first part of “Winter Contingency” as instructed in the walkthrough.
An Elegant Weapon: Killed 10 enemies in a Firefight or Campaign session with the DMR (10 Gamerscore). Simply use the DMR in any mission of the Halo Reach Campaign as instructed in the corresponding walkthrough.
Swap Meet: Traded weapons with an AI ally in Campaign (10 Gamerscore). Walk up to a UNSC soldier and press x to trade weapons with them. Notice that this will only work if you are wielding a weapon that they do not have and that they can use.
A Spoonful Of Blamite: Killed 10 enemies in Firefight or Campaign with a supercombine explosion (10 Gamerscore). You will naturally unlock this achievement by following the walkthrough of both “Tip of the Spear” and the third section of “The Pillar of Autumn” by killing enemies with the needle rifle. You can also unlock this achievement by using a needle rifle to kill light infantry such as Grunts with three bod shots even through the headshot is quicker and more efficient.
Be My Wingman Anytime: Let a teammate spawn on you 5 times in an Invasion Matchmaking game (5 Gamerscore). There are two main ways to unlock this achievement. First, if you play Invasion Matchmaking a lot, you will eventually get this achievement simply by luck. Second, if you play invasion matchmaking with a friend, your friend can spawn on you every time they die, easily providing you the achievement.
Yes, Sensei: Earned a First Strike Medal in a Matchmaking game (10 Gamerscore). A first strike medal is unlocked when you achieve the first kill in multiplayer matchmaking. To do this, play a matchmaking game type at which you are particularly good. If you play this game type many times, you will eventually get a first strike, either by luck or by skill.
Skunked: Won a game of Invasion in the 1st phase (10 Gamerscore). To do this, you must stop the opposing team during the first phase when you are on defense, and you must win on the first try on offence. There are two good methods to doing this. First, you can play Invasion with a skilled group of friends, and with a combination of teamwork and/or skill, you can skunk the opposing team. Second, if you play Invasion often, you will eventually be placed on a team of good players fighting against a team of poor players. Even if you are not very good at Invasion, the rest of your team will skunk the opposition, providing you the achievement.
What's A Killing Spree?: Earned a Killing Spree in multiplayer Matchmaking (5 Gamerscore). In matchmaking, you earn a killing spree by killing five enemy players without dying. Consistently play a game type that you are good at and you will eventually earn a killing spree.
Crowd Control: Earned a Killionaire medal in Firefight (10 Gamerscore). You unlock a killionaire medal when you kill 10 enemies in short succession. This achievement is easiest to unlock with augmented custom firefight settings. See the firefight, achievements section of this website for details.
Knife To A Gun Fight: As an Elite, killed 5 Spartan players in Matchmaking (5 Gamerscore). To do this, play either invasion slayer or invasion. This achievement does not require that you kill five Spartans in one life, so is relatively easy to unlock.
Score Attack: Scored 15,000 points in Score Attack Firefight Matchmaking (10 Gamerscore). This is a relatively easy score to achieve in score attack. Simply play a game of score attack under firefight matchmaking.
Firestarter: Scored 50,000 points in a Firefight game (10 Gamerscore). This achievement is easiest to unlock with augmented custom firefight settings. See the firefight, achievements section of this website for details.
Blaze Of Glory: Scored 200,000 points in a Firefight game (25 Gamerscore). This achievement is easiest to unlock with augmented custom firefight settings. See the firefight, achievements section of this website for details.
Heat In The Pipe: Scored 1,000,000 points in a Firefight game (75 Gamerscore). This achievement is easiest to unlock with augmented custom firefight settings. See the firefight, achievements section of this website for details.
Game, Set, Match: Completed a Firefight set on Legendary without dying (25 Gamerscore). This achievement is easiest to unlock with augmented custom firefight settings. See the firefight, achievements section of this website for details.
Make It Rain: Purchased an item from the Armory that required the rank of Lt. Colonel (10 Gamerscore). To reach the rank of Lt. Colonel, you will need to earn a large number of credits. Do this by completing daily challenges and playing firefight matchmaking . Once you reach Lt. Colonel, enter the armor from the menu and buy any armor piece that requires the rank of Lt. Colonel.
The Start Of Something: Reached the rank of Corporal in the UNSC (15 Gamerscore). Reaching the rank of Corporal does not require many credits. Simply beating the campaign will usually provide you with enough. To gain more credits, complete daily challenges and play firefight matchmaking.
An Honor Serving: Reached the rank of Captain in the UNSC (25 Gamerscore). To reach the rank of Lt. Colonel, you will need to earn a fair amount of credits. Do this by completing daily challenges and playing firefight matchmaking.
A Storage Solution: Used the File Browser to upload a file to your File Share (5 Gamerscore). Begin by takeing a screen shot from theater. Then enter the start menu, go to local files, select the screen shot, and upload it to your file share.
A New Challenger: Completed all of the Daily Challenges in a given day (10 Gamerscore). On days that you feel like playing Halo Reach for a long period of time, check the daily challenges. If they all appear to be challenges that you can complete relatively quickly and easily, decide on the best way to complete each challenge. For example, if a challenge requires you to get 5 headshots in a game, you should clearly play SWAT or team snipers. With a bit of dedicatation, you will be able to complete all of the challenges.
Make It Drizzle: Purchased an item from the Armory (10 Gamerscore). Once you receive credits from completing your first campaign mission, enter the armory from the start menu. Purchase any piece of armor that you can afford, such as shoulder pads.
Cool File, Bro: Recommended a file to someone (5 Gamerscore). From the start menu, choose a file that you created under local files. Select the file and recommend it to friends.
Lemme Upgrade Ya: Advanced a Commendation to a Silver state (10 Gamerscore). In the campaign, multiplayer matchmaking, and firefight matchmaking, there are many different commendations that you progress by performing certain actions. For example, there are commendations for headshots, multi- kills, and killing light infantry. Every time you perform the action designated in a commendation, that commendation progresses slightly to the next state. The order of commendation states are as follows: iron, bronze, silver, gold, onyx, and max. The easiest commendations to advance to silver state are firefight headshots, firefight precision weapon kills, and campaign headshots.
One Down, 51 To Go: Completed a Weekly Challenge (10 Gamerscore). Every week, check out the weekly challenge. If it seems like something you could do, begin working towards the challenge. Some of the easiest weekly challenges I have found were completing certain campaign missions on LASO and completing certain numbers of rounds in firefight matchmaking. With persistence, you can most likely unlock the weekly challenge you chose. If you do not successfully complete it in a week, wait until you find another easy challenge in weeks to come.

Noble Map Pack Achievements

Both Barrels: Noble 1: Earn a Double Kill with the shotgun in multiplayer Matchmaking (50 Gamerscore). This achievement is easiest to unlock in small enclosed areas. Therefore, it is best to play on Anchor 9, but you can also use the same strategies inside of the buildings in Breakpoint. When you see a group of enemies approaching you on your radar, hide just to the side of the doorway and wait for them to approach. As soon as they come through the doorway, step forward and kill the front player. Be sure that you are close enough to kill him or her in one shot. Then immediately turn and kill any other players in the group before they can kill you.
Cross Mappin’Noble 1: Kill a player at long range with the DMR in a matchmade Slayer game (50 Gamerscore). You will need to do this on Breakpoint or Tempest. Search for a faraway enemy and follow him or her with your DMR sights while zoomed in. Once he or she enters an open area with no nearby cover, begin shooting at his or her body. Be sure to both pace your shots and crouch for highest accuracy. Once you remove his or her shields, kill him or her with a headshot.
Offensive DriverNoble 1: Earn a kill in a matchmade Rocket Race game (20 Gamerscore). This is easy to do. Simply play as the gunner in a Rocket Race game, and you should get at least one kill.
Poppin’ & Lockin’Noble 1: Destroy a vehicle using Armor Lock in a matchmade game (25 Gamerscore). When an enemy in a ghost attempts to ram you by boosting, you can destroy their ghost by armor locking. Because they will hit an immovable figure, their ghost will explode from the impact. Begin by choosing a loadout with armor lock-on Breakpoint. Once an opponent with a ghost begins to move towards you, shoot at them and throw grenades as you normally would so that they do not suspect that you have armor lock. Once they try to ram you, wait until the last possible second to armor lock so that they do not have time to turn out of the way. This is easiest to do on Elite slayer because more players will have ghosts.
Totally Worth ItNoble 1: Earn a Double Kill from the Grave in multiplayer Matchmaking (50 Gamerscore). To do this, you will need to get an explosive kill from the grave. You will most likely get this achievement by throwing a grenade at two opposing players and being killed before the grenade detonates. This is easiest to do inside of a small room on Anchor 9 or Breakpoint because your oponents will have a harder time escaping your grenade and the grenade will not roll away. It is very hard to “try” to get this achievement. Instead, play a lot on Anchor 9 and throw more grenades than you usually do. The more you play and the more grenades you throw, the higher probability you will have of unlocking this achievement.
You Ate All the Chips!Noble 1: Collect all of the flags in a matchmade Stockpile game (42 Gamerscore). To do this, your team will need to be significantly better than the other team. Either play with a large group of friends or play continuously alone until you are placed with a good team.
You Blew It Up!: Noble 1: Blow up the research facility in a matchmade Invasion game on Breakpoint (13 Gamerscore). To do this, you will need to complete the second part of Invasion on Breakpoint on Offence. This is relatively easy if you play with a large group of friends because you can beat the opposing team through superior teamwork and coordination, even if you and your friends are not very good. Also, if you simply play invasion alone multiple times on Breakpoint, you will eventually get this achievement once you are placed with a good team or placed against a poor opposing team.

Defiant Map Pack Achievements

Return to Sender: Defiant: Successfully return two flags in a matchmade CTF game (30 Gamerscore). Play capture the flag with a group of friends and play the role of the designated flag carrier. This will usually provide you the achievement after a few tries, but if you are still having trouble, try playing a game in which your entire team plays offence instead of leaving defenders behind. This will most likely result in a loss, but will provide you the achievement.
Crackin’ Skulls: Defiant: Kill 3 players with the Oddball in a matchmade Oddball game (45 Gamerscore). To do this, you will need to be in the possession of the oddball for a long time or get lucky. To achieve the former, play team oddball with a group of friends and take turns being the designated oddball carrier to so that all of you can get this achievement.
Candy from a Baby: Defiant: Capture two flags from an enemy capture zone in a matchmade Stockpile game (75 Gamerscore). Wait by your opponents’ capture zone in Stockpile and steal their flags when their zone is poorly guarded.
Don’t Touch That: Defiant: Prevented the attacking team from touching the flag in a matchmade 1-Flag CTF game (25 Gamerscore). To do this, your team will need to be significantly better than the other team. If you play alone a lot, probability will place you on a great team eventually. If you play with a group of friends, you can also beat the opposing team with good teamwork.
Paper Beats Rock: Defiant: Assassinated a player that just exited Armor-Lock in a matchmade game (15 Gamerscore). When you see a player in armor lock, walk up directly behind them and assassinate them as soon as they exit armor lock.
All Alone: Defiant: Was the last surviving uninfected player in a matchmade Infection game (10 Gamerscore). If you play infection a lot, you will probably get this achievement. For best results, play with a group of fiends and stick incredibly close together. Players in the front should crouch so that players in the back can shoot over them.

Anniversary Map Pack Achievements

Top shot: Anniversary: Earned 3 headshots in a row in a matchmade game (50 Gamerscore). This is easy to do in a game of SWAT. Since all players have no shields, you can easily kill them with DMR headshots.
Emergency Room: Anniversary: Infected 3 players in a single round in a matchmade Infection game (15 Gamerscore). If you play anniversary infection a lot, you will soon get this achievement. Any time that you are chosen as a starting infected, you will have enough time to easily get three kills. Be sure to play games with 12 – 16 players for the best opportunity. If possible, play with a large group of friends so that you can coordinate your attacks with the other zombies. If all of the zombies attack together at the same time from multiple angles, you will have a good chance of killing the humans. Be sure to target players on their own when possible as well.
Stick it to the man: Anniversary: Killed the flag carrier with a Plasma Grenade in a matchmade game (20 Gamerscore). If you play as a defender in capture the flag and stockpile games often and make an effort to use plasma grenades when the enemy takes your flags, you should get this achievement rather easily. Notice that you do not need to stick the flag carrier; you can kill them with collateral damage as well.
Dive bomber: Anniversary: Performed a Beat Down on an enemy while using the Jetpack during a matchmade game (50 Gamerscore). Obviously, you will need to choose a loadout with a jetpack to start. Follow an enemy player who has a jetpack from behind and melee them from behind when they start jet packing. If you melee them from the front, it does not count as a beat down. You can also obtain this achievement when killing a player on the ground. Come up behind an opponent and begin jet packing when you are inches away from them. Melee them from behind immediately after you take off so that you do not fly above them.
Licensed to kill: Anniversary: Ran over 5 people with a vehicle in a matchmade game (15 Gamerscore). Play an outdoor game of Elite slayer with 12 – 16 players. When you play on Elite slayer, all UNSC vehicles are replaced with covenant vehicles, providing players with many ghosts. As soon as the game starts, grab a ghost and begin ramming infantry. Be sure to watch out for players using armor lock.
Bounty hunter: Anniversary: Captured 10 skulls at once in a matchmade Head Hunter game (75 Gamerscore). Play near a section of a map in which players usually gravitate towards. This area will soon become a kill zone. As more people die in that area, more people will come in hopes of gaining skulls. However, since so many people will be there, very few people will be able to escape with skulls. Wait in cover until large amounts of skulls build up, then pick off nearby players while they are focused on fighting each other. When the coast is relatively clear, quickly grab ten skulls and deploy them at the nearest drop zone. It may help to have a friend back you up for this.
From Hell’s heart: Anniversary: Killed an enemy with their own grenade that was stuck to you in a matchmade game (25 Gamerscore). When an enemy player sticks you, immediately run towards them. If you get close enough, the collateral damage of the plasma grenade will kill them. This is easiest to do with sprint or evade because it will allow you to catch up to your target if they try to run away.
